CO1: Ability to examine the POWER and ALTERNATING CURRENT circuits by making use of Ohm's Law, Kirchhoff's Current Law, Kirchhoff's Voltage Law, Source Alteration and Thevenin's theorem.

LASER: Ability to determine and analyze parameters of three stage AC system for Wye and Delta connection.

CO3: Ability to explain and apply the basic idea of magnetism and electromagnetism in DC and AC equipment.

2 . zero SYNOPSIS

This program is offered to non-electrical engineering background students. This course is intended to provide college students with very clear understanding of the DC and AC circuits, basic principles of 3-phase AIR CONDITIONING UNIT circuits, electro-magnetism and magnetic circuits. They will gain an understanding of the standard operating principles and performance evaluation of 3 most commonly used electric powered machines, particularly, transformers, power machines, and induction engines.
